An Expansion In Scope, and the First Real Puzzle


With the help of our new designers, we've settled upon an expanded scope — approximately 3 times the current size of the house. We feel that this is a good middle ground between depth of content and achievability for our small team. 

Our designers have also helped us to overhaul the core gameplay loop. Before their help, Cozy Fears was basically just a walking simulator where you press E occasionally. Now, there will be puzzles and hazards. Our lead designer has been working hard to lay out satisfying puzzles and level designs, and our lead writer has been developing an intriguing story for players to discover. 

The first of these puzzles, the clock puzzle, has been implemented in the game, although fine-tuning will inevitably follow in the coming days. We players will enjoy the final product.
